Born Into Brothels

PART A
1. She gave the camera to the kids because that gives the kids a way to go out and express what they see and what they think is important. Kids are also quick and eager to learn new things especially with technology so they can pick up on it faster and have a better time. It also gives them a chance to boost up their self esteem and overall confidence because they get to see their work blown up and shown all around and get to see it talked about it a positive manner.

2. You simply cant just judge every photo the same and look at them all the same way because you don't know the root story of where it came from. Say the picture is just a single apple tree and at first glance all you would ask yourself is why is there just a picture of an apple tree? But actually the tree could be the only one in that area and it means a lot to the photographer so they shot it. Thats why you need to change your views on things and infer where it could have come from or what the meaning could be.

3. This tells us that Avijit is very artistic and has a flow of energy that he just wants to put onto paper in colours. It shows that Avijit is a creative boy who can actually express his feelings and show his passion on paper and any other way he seems fit because he may not be able to do this any other way.

4. Personal expression is pretty much self explanatory. Its where your work just shows you, you choose everything about it, you make it. It can be anything from the angle you used for a photo to the colours you chose for a painting. Personal expression can be anything you feel, what your passionate about, your mood in that moment, and much more put onto an object like a drawing or photo to express yourself.

5. Anyone can make an art piece about something and it would be personal expression. This can definitely be used for educational purposes for a particular issue because the art work could be resembling what the issue is or even a solution or a sign of what to do. It can be symbolic and have deep meanings that help with the issue. You can observe it and you can get positive or negative feelings about it but its still possible to learn from ones art to a particular issue.

PART B
 i

This photo is very appealing to me because theres a lot of different visual techniques and the vocal point is clear. I like it because the man looks as if he is walking on water and the background is also blurred so it makes the photo look really neat.

I found this one interesting because I like the colours and the depth you see while looking down the street. The colours stand out to me because both the man and the front of the truck are orange so they go well together and I like how you can also see the street and the buidings that make up that area, it gives you a perspective about where they are and how it looks like in a normal day circumstance.

ii
This is an effective image because it shows how human rights are being abused for these kids. Its shows how kids are forced to work no matter the age.

This is also effective because it just shows how the age of a child doesn't matter in this society and that they will have them do anything.

iii
A picture doesn't need to just be beautiful to make it an effective image. A great picture tells a story there has to be some meaning behind it, an image that come from the heart and not just snapping a picture of what would look really cool or pretty, etc.
